Jet2 issues major flight updates for June – 30 locations affected | UK | News
Jet2 has announced a major update for passengers, with the airline announcing 30 new routes, including two new routes in the UK. Earlier this year the travel company announced that strong performance at its relatively new London Gatwick base had led to further expansion, including plans to introduce a new dedicated route to Lesbos from 2027.
It has also announced a major increase in its Jersey schedule for Summer 2027, with flights planned from six airports in the UK thanks to the addition of two new routes. It comes as passengers were assured that “summer is here” as concerns grow over the availability of jet fuel.
The airline says its confidence is based on positive updates from its suppliers, which have reported increased production and additional jet fuel imports, helping to stabilize supply despite wider uncertainty.
A spokesperson told HuffPost UK overall they will offer 30 new routes from 2027.
The spokesperson said: “With 30 new routes available in Summer 2027 and three new destinations including Thassos, Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh, we are offering holidaymakers great choice and flexibility when it comes to locking some sunshine into the day.”
The popular tour operator will also fly to two Greek destinations starting from Leeds Bradford Airport.
Flights to Santorini and Preveza will be operated for the first time from summer 2027. Flights to Preveza will operate every Sunday until October 10, 2027, and flights to Santorini will operate on Thursdays until October 7, 2027.
The 2027 Summer schedule at Leeds Bradford will be the biggest yet, according to Jet2. Approximately two million seats will be available on 53 routes.
