Jillian Michaels says she’s done with Democrats as left begins ‘eating its own’

Fitness icon Jillian Michaels told Fox News’ Sean Hannity why she’s officially done with the Democratic Party, claiming the left’s obsession with labels has led to it starting to “eat itself.”
Michaels sat at the table “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” A podcast that discusses how the qualities that once made him attractive to the left now lead the party to label him a “bigot.”
“I’m sitting here watching and thinking, ‘Wow, it keeps moving forward. The left keeps eating itself,'” Michaels said.
She explained that because of her diverse background—half-Jewish, half-Arab, a gay woman, and the mother of a Black child—she fits the labels once espoused by the Democratic Party. Now he says his perceptions of himself have changed after leaving California and speaking out on certain issues.

“Now I’m just a bigot, a transphobe and a white nationalist,” Michaels said of the name left-wingers have given him.
Michaels argued that the Democratic Party had become more liberal than him, and said that he did not leave the party, but that the party abandoned him. He added that he no longer represents the marginalized groups he claims to protect.
For Michaels, border security became a breaking point. He stated that he worked for the United Nations Refugee Agency and even adopted his child from Haiti, but the open border situation made him worried about national security.

While he has always been “sympathetic to people who deserve and want a better life,” he said allowing such large numbers of unchecked people into the country would put pressure on infrastructure and could harm legal immigration.

“You eventually get to a place where you’re forced to make a decision like, ‘No, just no. Nothing more than that. Close the border,'” Michaels said.
He argued that the party had stopped listening to some of the people it represents, including Iranians and Venezuelans who support steps the Trump administration has taken in their countries.

“These clips of Venezuelans, Cubans, and Iranians literally say to white, middle-aged liberals, ‘Stop doing what you’re doing. You don’t represent us. You don’t represent what we want for Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran.'”
“And then right after that these people no longer serve the agenda and they purge these people. No matter the color of their skin, no matter how gay they are, no matter how marginalized they are,” Michaels added.
