J&K doctors’ bodies condemn blast near Red Fort, terms medics involvement ‘deeply disturbing’

J&K’s leading medical bodies condemned the blast near the Red Fort on Sunday, November 23, 2025, and vowed a joint fight against “all forms of violence and extremism”.

A DAK spokesperson said, “We are deeply disturbed by the medical community by reports of individuals from the medical profession allegedly being involved in this inhumane act. The Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) has full confidence in the justice system and calls on the authorities to ensure that anyone found guilty is held fully accountable before the law.”

WAC asked the public to remain calm, alert and united against all kinds of violence and extremism. “Doctors have always worked with humanity, compassion and service above all else, and we will continue to abide by these values ​​in all situations. Such acts of violence will not weaken our determination to heal, protect and serve our society and nation,” WAC said.

Consultant Doctors Association J&K also strongly condemned the bomb attack in Delhi which killed 15 civilians. “The alleged involvement of individuals from the medical profession is extremely disturbing and, if proven, represents a serious betrayal of healing values ​​and ethics. The association has full confidence in the justice system and demands strict action in accordance with the law against those found guilty,” the association said.

Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) termed doctors’ involvement in terrorism as “a complete betrayal of the Hippocratic Oath and an insult to the noble medical profession”.

The statement said, “The field of medicine is founded on the principles of saving lives and serving humanity. Anyone who engages in violence or terrorism, regardless of their nature, loses the right to be called a healer.”

DAJ requested a comprehensive and timely investigation. “We have confidence in the judicial system and demand that those involved be punished in the most severe way if they are proven guilty. Such anti-national activities cannot be tolerated under any circumstances,” the association said.
