J&K govt. blacklists Reliance General Insurance Company Limited for 2 years

The J&K government on Tuesday (April 28, 2026) blacklisted Reliance General Insurance Company Limited (RGICL) in the Union Territory (UT) for two years following a report by investigating agencies that the company entered into an agreement with the Union Territory (UT) administration “even though it did not have the requisite compliance”.

“In order to protect public interest and ensure integrity in public procurement, M/S Reliance General Insurance Company Limited has been blacklisted/prohibited from participating in any tender or procurement process to be initiated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for a period of two years,” an order issued by the Finance department of the J&K government said.
