Jockey Joshua Parr confident Lego Master can build on promising start at Gosford races

Jockey Joshua Parr is well on points at Gosford on Thursday but is still confident he can leave the track with a double win from two big chances.

Parr, who is in the top 10 in the Sydney jockeys’ championship, will start the day with Lego Master in the Central Coast Motor Group Maiden Handicap (1600m) and join trainer Bjorn Baker.

Good luck with the overpass.

“Lego Master is only a lightly raced horse, but he showed his ability and looks to have had a very winnable race at Gosford,” Parr said.

“He was not well beaten at Orange on his first start and has since featured at Nowra and Goulburn. He competed strongly after racing over 1500m at Goulburn the other day. He stepped up to the mile at Gosford and if he can repeat that sort of run on the narrower track then he should have plenty of running.”

Parr’s other ride at Gosford will be recent start winner Ferinzo in the Central Coast Graite
C,G&E Benchmark 64 Handicap (1100m).

Ferinzo is trained by Jake Hull and showed great talent by finishing second in his first race at Grafton in July 2024 and then winning at that track in the same month and was later tipped for a spell.

Ferinzo scored two trials in November and December 2024, but was dropped and not seen in trials again until December, when he finished third at Gosford before earning a win at Wyong.
