John Stamos defends Lori Loughlin amid separation from Mossimo Giannulli

John Stamos defended his “Full House” co-star Lori Loughlin for enduring “a lot over the years” during her relationship with her estranged husband Mossimo Giannulli.

Reps confirmed to Fox News Digital that Loughlin and Giannulli are now “living apart” after 27 years of marriage. “No legal process is ongoing.”

In Monday’s episode “Good Guys” In the podcast, Stamos claimed that the fashion designer was responsible for Loughlin’s involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal.

Their separation comes five years after the couple were embroiled in the Operation Varsity Blues scandal; He pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud related to paying hundreds of thousands in bribes to get his daughters into the University of Southern California.

“I’ve known him for 40 years,” Stamos said. “After a few years, you can see through people. This woman is a saint. I feel so sorry for her right now.”

Stamos “really tried to be there” for his former co-star during the scandal and claimed Giannulli was a “horrible narcissist.”

“I’m not going to debate whether he had much to do with it. I know he didn’t,” he said, before claiming Giannulli “led him into it.”

“She’s not a liar. She’s a saint,” Stamos said, before recalling calling to check on Loughlin when news of the scandal broke. “Mossimo takes care of all this stuff,” she allegedly told him.

Loughlin spent nearly three months in jail and Giannulli spent five months behind bars. They were released in December 2020 and April 2021.

“He’s going to prison for three months for this piece of shit, right? And he’s going no matter what,” Stamos said. “And in typical Lori fashion, ‘How was it?’ I said. He says: ‘You know, I met a lot of nice ladies there. We have a book club.”

He continued, “She didn’t deserve to be dragged into this… I actually know it was because of her.”

Stamos admitted that Loughlin was “devastated” to leave her husband of 27 years.

“For a girl who really lived her life well, [is] “A good person, a good mother, a good wife,” she said. “I know all this for a fact. Now to be thrown into this separation and explosion, blowing up his family like this. And I hate to see him go through that.”

When asked about the cheating allegations, Stamos was “taking the fifth” but noted: “Whatever he did to her, it tore him to the core.”

Loughlin recently made light of the scandal by playing a version of herself in an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” The episode’s main character, Larry David, helps the actress get into a country club when she gets stuck in legal drama.

His character also has a fake disabled license plate and cheats at golf.

In an interview with A first for women last yearLoughlin talked about perseverance.

“We face different obstacles every day. But for me, it’s like this song says: ‘I fell, but I got up again,'” he said. “No one said life would be easy; we all make mistakes, but the important thing is to persevere.”
