Joy Behar rejects Kamala Harris for 2028, tells ‘The View’ co-hosts they’re not living in ‘reality’

Behar then interrupted and announced that she had a better slate of options for the 2028 Democratic nominee.

We got a white backlash against a black President,” Hostin said to applause from the audience. “And in this country, 250 years from now, I hope this country is beyond its identity, but we’re not, and we need to be realistic and we need to win as the Democratic Party. We need to get this country back on track.”

“Maybe I’m too old for this conversation at this point, but I’ve been watching this country for a long time, and you have to be realistic. The last few years that Trump has been in office, he’s been practically destroying democracy. This is an emergency we’re in! We can’t play games,” Behar said.

Host Ana Navarro rejected the idea put forward by Behar that the nominee had to be a White man.

“Millions of people watch us every day and you are a feminist, you fought to break glass ceilings,” she said. “What I mean is, I’m not going to tell little Black kids or little Latino kids or little girls that they can’t run for office and they can’t be president.”

Behar said that wasn’t what she said and that she only cared about Democrats winning.
