VB-GRAM-G Survey Begins from December 26

Nizamabad: Vikas Bharat – Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Guarantee (VB-GRAM-G) will begin a state-wide field survey from December 26 to 31 to identify studies and prepare plans for the financial year 2026-27. The initiative aims to prevent migration by creating employment opportunities in indigenous villages.

Field staff will visit villages across the state to finalize proposals with public consultation, after which budgets will be announced. Rural works will be carried out with the cooperation of local communities.

The Center has renamed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and revised its norms. Working days increased from 100 to 125. Employment must be provided within 15 days of application, otherwise the State government must pay an allowance. The state’s share in financing was increased from 10 percent to 40 percent.

According to the revised schedule, a gap of 60 days will be allowed during the peak crop season. New studies will be determined for 2026-27 during the research period. The Gram Sabhas, held two months ago, will guide the completion of workdays and projects, including forestry and road works. Women self-help groups will play an important role and meetings will be held at Gramaikya Bhavans.
