As polling stations opened for voting at 7 am for the Jubilee Hills General Election in Telangana on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, voting began quickly in the presence of a large police contingent.

In Yellareddyguda, where the population is dense, citizens lined up to vote and waited for their turn. At Padala Rama Reddy Law College in Yellareddyguda, where there are seven polling stations, people started reaching the polling station from 6.30 am.

The Election Commission of India has established Voter Assistance Booths to help voters find their names on the voting list, doing similar work to the kiosks set up by political party candidates.

Md Farooq Ali, a businessman in his 50s who lives in the area, said, “I am always the first in the family to vote. This has become a norm for me whenever there are elections for the last 36 years.”

The by-poll in Telangana Legislative Assembly constituency 61 was necessitated due to the death of Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA Maganti Gopinath. While BRS has now fielded Maganti Sunitha, the Congress party has supported Naveen Yadav and the All India Assembly Ittehadul Muslimeen has backed the Congress candidate.
