Judge overturns Trump’s research funding cuts at school

A US Federal Court overthrew the deep financing cuts of President Donald Trump against Harvard University.
Judge Allison Burroughs decided that Ivy League College violated free speech rights when the government’s research fund was canceled in the research fund.
The decision is a great legal victory for Harvard, but it is likely to be objected. When the Trump administration froze the financing in April, “radical left” emitism accused the “radical left” ideologies and racial prejudices.
The three other Ivy League College, including Columbia University, are interested in Trump to protect the federal research money, which is in danger due to similar allegations by the administration.
The Boston -based judge Burroughs wrote in his decision on Wednesday: “The court puts aside the freezing orders and termination letters that violate the first change.”
In his 84 -page decision, the judge wrote that Harvard had to do more to deal with anti -Semitism, which he said “disturbed” the institution in recent years.
However, there was “very few connections” between the research affected by the financing interruptions at the school and the allegations of anti -Semitism.
He argued that the government used anti -Semitism as a curtain for a smoke curtain for an ideologically motivated attack to the leading universities of this country.
Judge Burroughs appointed by former president Barack Obama prevented Trump’s efforts to prevent Harvard from hosting international students.
