Judicial custody of all eight accused in Ram Temple donation embezzlement case extended

A special court in Ayodhya on Monday, July 13, 2026, extended judicial custody by 14 days for eight accused arrested for alleged Ram temple donation embezzlement.
The accused were produced in the court of Additional District Judge Pratibha Narayan through video conferencing and sent to judicial custody till July 27.
On July 10, the prosecution had sought police arrest of two accused: Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav and Subhash Srivastav. The court will give its decision on the issue on Tuesday, July 14.
Ram Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu, Anukalp Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Karunesh Pandey, Manish Yadav, Lavkush Mishra, Ram Shankar Mishra and Subhash Srivastava, the eight accused arrested in connection with the alleged misappropriation of endowment funds from the Ram temple, were sent to judicial custody by a local court on June 29.

As part of the investigation, Ayodhya police conducted simultaneous searches at the houses of all eight accused on June 28.
The case was sent to the next hearing on July 27.
