Justin Trudeau’s son Xavier Trudeau has made rare comments about his father’s relationship with Katy Perry.
The 18-year-old aspiring rapper said the pop star was ‘cool’ and ‘nice’ while appearing on the creator G Hobs’ car interview Sunday.
In the influencer’s Instagram reel, Xavier confirmed that his politician father introduced him to his girlfriend as their relationship became increasingly serious.
The couple has already been the subject of unfounded pregnancy rumors.
Confirming that he had met and spent time with his father’s girlfriend, Xavier said: ‘She is very nice. ‘She’s a very nice girl.’
He also described some of the topics they discussed, including their common interest in music.

In an Instagram video posted over the weekend, he confirmed he met the Grammy nominee and gave details about how they hit it off.
He said he “talked for hours” with the 13-time Grammy-nominated actor and chatted “about him.” [his] especially music.
‘He gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff,’ he added.
When asked if he and Perry had talked about space travel and whether Hobs had joked about ‘going to the moon’, Xavier replied: ‘We haven’t talked about it. Did he even go to the moon?’
Last year, Xavier made another public appearance and talked about his music career on The Brandon Gomez Show podcast.
‘I’ve always loved music, whether it’s creating it [or] I’m listening to him. ‘I’ve always had a passion for this.’ He also talked about how his parents encouraged him to pursue his passion.
‘They were supportive from the beginning,’ he said. ‘Every time I came back from the studio I’d have something to show them, and we’d sit at dinner and listen to this: “Oh, I like that. I don’t like that.”‘
He added: ‘They love it. They are happy for me. They’re happy that I chose my own path in life.’
Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau shares three children with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire; among them are Xavier, his 17-year-old daughter Ella-Grace and 11-year-old son Hadrien.
Xavier, an aspiring rapper, described his father’s girlfriend as ‘cool’ and said she even gave him advice about his own music career. He also made a brief comment about his famous space journey.
Perry was first romantically linked to the former Canadian Prime Minister in the summer of 2025.
