Kalyani Priyadarshan To Make Cannes Debut

Lokah Part One: After a satisfying year marked by Chandra, Kalyani Priyadarshan is all set to join the Indian contingent at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14.

“Cannes has always been an iconic celebration of cinema, so it feels extra special to be there this year,” the actress said. “Lokah Chapter One: I am grateful for all the love that Chandra has received and it definitely makes this moment even more memorable for me.”

Kalyani noted that India’s growing presence at the festival is a testament to the industry’s expanding reach. “I think Indian cinema is being recognized globally in a very exciting way right now, especially with new voices and stories finding their way,” he said. “It’s great to be part of this larger movement at this stage of my journey and experience a platform like Cannes.”

The actress is still keeping her looks locked down as Cannes puts as much emphasis on fashion as it does cinema. “We’re trying different things, but I just want to enjoy it and make the most of my time there,” he added.
