Unbeaten North Melbourne will carry the weight of history in this year’s grand final, but captain Jasmine Garner doesn’t think it’s a burden on her teammates.

If the Roos beat the Lions in the grand final they could become the first AFLW team to complete a perfect season and would also become the first club to win back-to-back flags.

Garner thinks his team is ready to finish the season undefeated by getting another win.

“After the game it remains the same. There are things we did well, there are always improvements and things we can do better,” Garner said.

“I think we try to stay in the moment and not think too much ahead.

“The preliminary final was a bit different; we were a bit nervous going into the game because you’re not there yet, but the way we reacted, I thought being three goals down in the preliminary wasn’t ideal, but the way we responded, we managed to get ourselves back into the game and I think the girls are ready for tomorrow night.”
