Kangana Ranaut Backs Deepika Padukone’s Work Norms

In a surprising and refreshing turn, Kangana Ranaut has come out in strong support to Deepika Padukone amid the ongoing debate over working hours in Hindi cinema.

Kangana, who is known for her outspoken nature and often controversial views, this time gave a supportive note while addressing the eight-hour work culture controversy. The controversy intensified after it was reported that Deepika had quit several major projects due to her preference for fixed working hours.

Speaking on the issue, Kangana said that Deepika has the right to set her own professional boundaries. He emphasized that players who have reached a certain position in the industry deserve the freedom to determine their working conditions.

Kangana said, “Deepika Padukone has set her conditions right. There shouldn’t be any problem as she deserves this place. She is a mother and has a daughter. Asking to work eight hours is completely fair.”

Reminiscing about their past collaborations, Kangana revealed that both the actresses had once opposed long working hours on the sets. “We were asked to work 12 hours. I said I would work only 10 hours and he appreciated that. We always wanted balance as well as success,” he added.

Deepika reportedly missed out on high-profile films like Kalki 2898 AD and the sequel to Spirit due to her working conditions. However, she remains one of the most sought-after stars and is now rumored to be a part of a major project with Allu Arjun, tentatively titled “Raaka”, which is expected to further boost her stardom.

Kangana’s support added a new dimension to the conversation, highlighting the importance of work-life balance in an industry traditionally known for demanding schedules.
