Karachi Attack: India Trashes Pak Allegations

New Delhi: India on Sunday strongly rejected Pakistan’s allegations of India’s involvement in an attack on a military base in Karachi that left four paramilitary personnel dead and said the neighboring country should look inward and take credible steps against the terror infrastructure on its soil. News from Islamabad said Pakistani security forces killed six terrorists and captured another alive after thwarting a brazen attack by militants on the Sindh Rangers compound in Karachi on Saturday night.
The attack killed four paramilitary personnel, marking the city’s first major terrorist attack since October 2024. Some elements in the Pakistani establishment alleged India’s involvement in the attack.
“We have seen Pakistani reports making false allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi,” Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said. he said.
“We categorically reject them. Instead of pointing fingers at others, it would be better for Pakistan to look inward, take credible steps against the terrorist infrastructure on its soil and rid itself of the tendency to rely on terrorism as an instrument of state policy,” he said.
Jaiswal was responding to a media query.
Pakistani Interior Minister Muhsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack and claimed, without any evidence, that there was an Indian link to it.
