Karnataka CEO asks Rahul Gandhi to share documents based on which he allegedly claimed a woman voted twice

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Karnataka Chief Election Officer issued a notification by asking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to share the documents he claimed to have voted twice.
The state’s senior survey officer told Mr. Gandhi that the documents would help the office of his office to make a detailed investigation.
‘Voting adhikar rally’
Mr. Gandhi showed documents at a press conference in New Delhi last week.

“You also stated that SMT Shakun Rani has voted twice … Upon the investigation, SMT Sakun Rani said that he voted twice, not twice as claimed by you.”
In the letter, a preliminary investigation carried out by the CEO’s office announced that the tick -marked document shown by the congress leader in the presentation was not published by the ballot box.
“For this reason, you will be asked to submit the relevant documents that you conclude that SMT Shakun Rani or someone else has voted twice, and that you can conclude that a detailed investigation by this office.”
