Met Office confirms summer 2025 was UK’s hottest on record

The UK lived the hottest literature in 2025 in a record, the Met Office confirmed that some of the highest temperatures have been recorded since 2018.
Between 1 June and 31 August, the average temperature in the UK was 16.10C with a long-term average of 1.51C. Throughout the country, heat waves have caused droughts and fires in the last few weeks.
This broke record at 15.76C in 2018 and pushed the literature of 2006 to the third place with 15.75C.
The British is expected to see a sudden end of sunny magic in September, as the Met Office is more restless and often predicted rainy conditions.

In the first two weeks of September, most regions will be seasonally hot, while shower or long rain spells can be expected. This will partly cause long -term effects of Fernand’s hurricane Hurricane and tropical storm Fernand.
In spite of the records, all times determined in 2025 did not have high heat records. The highest temperature recorded Faversham was far below the 40.3c recorded in Coningsby in Lincolnshire, 35.8c in Kent in 2022.
Met Office said that climate change can explain the increasing basic temperature in the UK. In the 1991-2020 period, the average summer temperature was 14.59C, which was more than 0.8C than 1961 to 1990.
Met Office Scientist Emily Carlisle said: “Temporary Met Office statistics show that 2025 is the hottest of the official warmer and exceeded the previous record of 15.76 ° C in 2018 with an average temperature of 16.10 ° C.
“This year was directed by a combination of permanent temperature, high -pressure systems, unusual dominance of hot seas in the UK and dry spring soils. These conditions rapidly and the heat remained, both maximum and minimum temperatures with maximum and minimum temperatures.”
Climate projections show that future UK will be even hot and dried. This phenomenon also extends worldwide, and Europe is overwhelming and often struggling with a dangerous heat this year.
Met As Office said: “As the climate change has been constantly increasing, the fundamental conditions have the power to turn into remarkable years. This summer, the four heat waves that could once pass as pleasant magic of hot air have been made more prominent by the increasing ground created by climate change.”
The estimated “a restless first week of meteorological autumn”. Here is the guess for next week:
Today
Sunny spells and showering one day. Some of the showers will be full and will be heavy with the risk of thunder. Fuzzy for many, but especially in the last shower and around. I feel a little more cool than Sunday.
Tonight
It tends to relax a little over the evening and overnight. A group of heavy rain will come to the southwest England and dawn in the south of the Wales.
Tuesday
Yağmur will move east to the east in the southern districts of England and Wales. Elsewhere will see a mixture of sunny spells and scattered shower. Lighter winds and maximum temperatures at average proximity.
Wednesday – Friday
Fast winds and heavy rain on Wednesday probably follow sunny spells and heavy shower on Thursday. Maybe it’s a dry and brighter day for many on Friday. Average temperatures.
