Karnataka: Two Newborns Abandoned in Raichur, Govt Urges Safe Adoption

Raicur: After two newborn abandonment in the Raichur region last week – one near a creek and the other by one channel – the Ministry of Female and Child Development applied to those who could not care for babies to safely deliver them to the government’s adoption centers.
Both babies were rescued after warning the native officials. The authorities called the events “inhuman actions ve and warned children’s lives against endangering.
Deputy Director Navenkumar U said that in such cases, Childline 1098 could be contacted. Children’s welfare officials or the Child Protection Unit will then assume the responsibility of the baby and accept the child to the adoption center of the government. He made sure that no investigation against the mother or parents who surrendered the baby would be made.
Navenkumar, who appealed to the public, said: ın Do not leave babies in garbage boxes, roadside or pits that can endanger their lives.
