Kath and Kim star announces she is in remission
Magda Szubanski, one of Australia’s most beloved comedians who was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer in May, announced that she is in recovery.
“Looks like I’m not dead. I better check social media though because they know more about me than I do,” he joked. Video posted to Instagram on Friday. “I have completed chemotherapy and am now in remission. Wow, such a relief. It’s not a cure, but since I’ve made a good recovery, hopefully that means I’ll keep the cancer at bay for a long time.”
The 64-year-old star, best known for her role as Sharon Strzelecki Kath and Kimfourth stage diagnosis was made mantle cell lymphomaA rare and rapidly progressing blood cancer that affects white blood cells last year. He started a new type of treatment called the Nordic protocol, which combines chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
