Katherine Jenkins and husband Andrew Levitas sit directly behind David Beckham in Wimbledon’s Royal Box after OBE drama

Katherine Jenkins was reunited with Sir David Beckham in the Royal Box on day one of Wimbledon on Monday, nine years after the OBE row came to light.
The opera star, 46, arrived at the tennis tournament with her husband Andrew Levitas and found herself sitting a few feet away from David, 51, who was once again accompanied by his mother Sandra.
Katherine looked gorgeous in a white and blue polka dot dress on the sunny day at SW19.
Following similar seating arrangements at last year’s Wimbledon, she sat on the bench behind David but did not interact with the star.
In a series of leaked emails published in 2017, David allegedly criticized Katherine and questioned why she had been given an OBE when she had failed to achieve a knighthood.
One email allegedly read: ‘Katherine Jenkins OBE for what? Singing at a rugby match, going to see the soldiers and also smoking cocaine. ‘It’s a fucking joke.’

The Royal Box featured stars from all walks of life; David was proudly in the front row, having just returned from America to watch the World Cup.
The opera star was awarded an OBE in 2014 for her services to various charities and her travels to war zones to entertain soldiers.
The hacked emails also made allegations about his stance on the Scottish referendum and his investment in loss-making companies to reduce his tax bill.
David’s representatives denied the allegations at the time, stating that the emails were “hacked and altered” from a private account.
A spokesman said: ‘This story is based on old material taken out of context from private emails that were hacked and doctored from a third-party server and deliberately gives a false picture.’
In November 2025, David was named King George III for his services to sport and charity. He was officially knighted by Charles.
Katherine and David allegedly fell out years ago when she denied having an affair with him on Twitter in 2012; This decision reportedly left the England star completely enraged.
Katherine claimed in 2018 that she was still waiting for an apology from the sports star.
Speaking about David’s shocking comments towards her, Katherine admitted she had no reason other than to be proud of her achievements.

‘Also, I don’t feel the need to defend this. I know what I’m doing and when I received the OBE it was given to me for my music and charity work.
Asked if she was angry at David for his alleged comments, Katherine added: ‘Obviously it’s disappointing. “I haven’t heard anything from them about it.”
