While MS NOW host Katy Tur said during a podcast on Wednesday that President Donald Trump is doing “a lot more” than former President Biden did, there was a report from the New York Times that said the president was showing signs of “fatigue.”
“The Daily Beast Podcast” host Joanna Coles and Tur said Trump loves press conferences and does more than the former president, noting that the president makes himself visible. “Our full attention is on it, we’re monitoring it micro by micro moment,” he added.
Trump was outraged by the Times report titled “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Confronts the Realities of Aging in Office,” calling it a “hit piece” in a post on social media. The Times defended its reporting in a statement Wednesday, saying, “The news is accurate and based on first-hand reporting of the facts. Name-calling and personal insults will not change that, and our journalists will not hesitate to cover this administration in the face of such scare tactics.”
“I think he’s doing a lot more than Joe Biden did to not jump on the bandwagon and step back a little bit,” Tur said. Tur said.

Tur said, “He’s there in a way that even past presidents haven’t been there. He provides access. He’s on TV all the time.” he added. “He may be slowing down as he gets older, but he’s still very active. I mean, he travels abroad. He comes back, he gives out Halloween candy. Sometimes those trips are for a day. So he’s still very busy.”
The MS NOW host argued that discussions on the issue should be about Trump, not Biden. Trump became the oldest president ever elected after winning last year’s election at the age of 78.
“He’s not traveling as much as he used to do. I mean, domestic travel is definitely down. He’s not doing these rallies. He’s not standing in front of a crowd for an hour or two, you know, three hours now in Grand Rapids, Michigan. And I think that speaks volumes. But this needs to be about him, not Joe Biden,” he said.

Tur said he went to a Christmas party during the Biden administration and couldn’t understand what the former president was saying.
Tur said, “I went to the Christmas party during the Biden years, he came out around 8 o’clock and gave a speech in the hall where the journalists were located, you couldn’t understand a single word he said, right?” he said. “It’s different.”
The Times reported that it analyzed Trump’s schedule and found “fewer public events” compared to his first term, suggesting that Trump usually appears between noon and 5 p.m. Oval Office activity.
