‘Keep snoring’: Man sends Snapchat post after knocking victim unconscious

A 20-year-old beat an unconscious man outside a bar and then sent a Snapchat telling his victim to “keep snoring”.
Brodie Dewar, 20, appeared in Armadale Magistrates’ Court in Perth’s south-east and was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in relation to the Kalamunda incident on Christmas Eve.
His lawyer told the court that Dewar would present a defense at Wednesday’s hearing.
Judge Justin Geoghan charged Dewar and he replied: “Guilty, Your Honor.”
The court was previously told Dewar punched Luis Galves Gallego in the jaw and hit his head on a pavement near the Kalamunda Hotel around midnight, causing him to fall backwards and hit his head, causing him to lose consciousness for about four minutes.
Dewar posted a Snapchat video showing the victim lying unconscious on the floor and wrote: “Hey, don’t hit on my little sister. Keep snoring.”

Due to the attack, the victim has a sore mouth, a cut lip, and memory loss.
The police prosecutor told the court Dewar was under strict bail conditions due to another serious charge.
The judge decided to release Dewar on bail.
He will be sentenced for the Kalamunda attack at Armadale Magistrates’ Court on May 6.
