Will Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli return? India’s ODI squad for Australia tour to be announced on THIS date

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli recently represented India in the champions Trophy 2025, and since then they have retired from Test and T20I formats. While the India is preparing for Australian tours, both cricket legends are expected to be part of the ODI team.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s one -day international (ODI) future led to an important debate, but both players are preparing to travel to Australia for the three ODI that began on October 19 at Perth. This is expected to make a few settings on the Indian squad due to national selections due to fitness concerns and workload management.
Selections are expected to be audited on Saturday with the third day of the first test against the West Indian Islands in Ahmedabad. However, the timeline for the team announcement remains uncertain.
In particular, Rishabh Pant, who survived the Hardik Pandya and feet fracture, will not be present for the election. Also, the test captain Shubman Gill, who recently joined the Asian Cup and is ready to play two test series in three days, will have to manage his physical situation.
Both Rohit and Kohli have been working carefully after a seven -month hiatus from the international cricket since the victory of the Champions Cup in March.
Kohli scored a century goal against Pakistan and became the most scorer in the semifinals against Australia, while Rohit overcome a decisive inning against New Zealand in the final.
Both players stepped back from the Test and T20I formats, now only joined the ODIs, which led to speculation of their long life when they approached the 50 World Cup planned in South Africa in 2027.
However, according to the sources in the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI), only six ODI was planned this season– Three matches against Australia and three home matches against New Zealand later – a hurry decision is unlikely.
Currently, the focal point is to maximize the World Test Championship (WTC) scores from four home tests in 2025, as well as on the T20 World Cup set at the beginning of next year.
Since there are eight games (including five T20) for 19 days, there may be several permutations and combinations. This also requires at least seven internal flights from Gold Coast to Brisbane.
The last match of the T20I series was arranged on 9 November, and then India’s first exam was watched against South Africa in Kalcutta as of November 14th.
