Launch event of Mysuru-Hyderabad flight service sparks criticism as trade, tourism bodies not invited

The launch of the Mysuru-Hyderabad flight service has sparked criticism from city-based trade and tourism bodies who said they were “excluded” from the official launch event despite long-standing efforts to improve air connectivity.

The additional flight service connecting Mysuru to Hyderabad was launched on May 1 by MP from Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar in the presence of airport officials. While the launch was welcomed by stakeholders as a boost to regional connectivity, the way the event was carried out raised objections.
