Keir Starmer says UK recognises Palestinian state

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said in a video statement on social media that Britain officially knew a Palestinian state.

Before the announcement, Canada became the first G7 country to make the same move and followed by Australia.

Starmer said that he “keeps the possibility of peace alive” and insists that Britain will “continue to fight to bring Israel hostages”.

But the Israeli Foreign Ministry says, “Recognition is nothing more than an award for Cihatci Hamas.”
