Kelsey Grammer, 70, welcomes EIGHTH child as he reveals wife Kayte gave birth to baby boy
Kelsey Grammer recently announced that he welcomed his eighth child, a son named Christopher, with his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh.
The 70-year-old Frasier star announced the baby news while appearing on Monday’s episode. Pod Meets the World.
‘We just had a fourth one, so that’s eight kids!’ Kelsey gushed.
‘It was like three days ago. New addition to the family is Christopher.’
It’s been four months since the Daily Mail confirmed Kelsey and Kayte, 46, were expecting, and a source said the pregnancy had ‘reignited’ the spark between them.
“Kelsey is thrilled to finally have the time to enjoy being a father again,” a source told the Daily Mail.

The Frasier star, 70, announced the baby news on Monday’s episode of Pod Meets World.
‘This will be their fourth child together and along with Kelsey’s other children from past marriages, their new bundle of joy will have so much love.’
After giving Frasier one last chance, he has hung his hat on the character and is ready for the next phase of his life. She’s looking forward to embracing the hands-on parenting she’s missed in the past.’
The couple, who have been married for 14 years, have three older children: 13-year-old daughter Faith; and their 11-year-old son, Kelsey Gabriel; and Auden James, eight.
Kelsey first met the British blonde in 2009 while she was working as a flight attendant on a flight to London.
Grammer first became a father in 1983, when he welcomed his 42-year-old daughter Spencer during his two-year marriage to his first ex-wife, Doreen Alderman, which ended in 1990.
The six-time Emmy winner later welcomed daughter Kandace Greer, 33, with retired hair/makeup artist Barrie Buckner, whom she reportedly dated from 1991 to 1992.
Kelsey welcomed two more children: daughter Mason, 24; and his 21-year-old son, Jude, during his 13-year marriage to his third ex-wife, Camille Meyer, which ended in 2011.
Last year, Grammer starred alongside his daughter Greer in the second season of the Paramount+ sitcom Frasier revival.

Last year, the six-time Emmy winner starred opposite her 33-year-old daughter Greer (with ex Barrie Buckner) in the second season of the Paramount+ comedy series Frasier.
In 2022, the Virgin Islands-born, Florida-raised grandfather starred alongside his daughter Spencer in the Lifetime movie The 12 Days of Christmas Eve.
“Kayte and I were talking about what it’s actually like for a kid to follow in his father’s footsteps,” Kelsey said. Diversity last year’s cover story.
‘To think that all my children, at least the ones with their hands in the air, are ready to take responsibility for their lives, I think they are all drawn to this industry. He said: “This is something to be proud of.” This is something I never tell them. I hope they will read it [my upcoming memoir] and realize, “Oh, so my dad is okay with this.”
‘Because I never wanted to force myself on them. I never wanted to force them into the industry or interfere too much with their process. Because carrying my last name is a bit of a mixed blessing. People take it out on you. Maybe that’s why you’re attracting some attention. And there’s a divide about whether that’s good or bad.’
Grammer said he is happiest when all of his children are “together in the same room.”
‘My studies enabled me to do this,’ said the author of Karen: A Brother Remembers.
‘I was given this wonderful experience. It was painful, challenging, difficult, and tragic; all this. But boy, it’s a great life. And I want to convey that to them.’
Kelsey’s upcoming film credits include Tyler Russell’s romance The Christmas Ring (out in the US on November 6), Joe Erwin’s 2026 George Washington biopic Young Washington, and the Russo Brothers’ 2026 MCU film Avengers: Doomsday.
