While some parts of Kerala, which receives little rainfall in summer, continue to experience hot and humid conditions, high temperatures were recorded in some areas.
According to the 24-hour data released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 8.30 am on Monday, April 27, 2026, Palakkad recorded the highest temperature in the state at 40.1 degrees Celsius. It was followed by Punalur in Kollam district, which recorded 39.5 degrees Celsius.
