Kerala HC Grants Anticipatory Bail To Rapper Vedan In Rape Case

Kochi: On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of Kerala said to Hirandas Murali, known as Vedan in the rape case, although the accusations against him were serious, he said that the custody query was not necessary.
Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas, a female doctor with the promise of marriage by having sexual intercourse and then accused of withdrawing the same thing gave relief.
He also accused him of sexual harassment many times between 2021 and 2023.
The Supreme Court said that the acquaintances between the rapper and the woman started in 2021 and continued until March 2023.
“There were many events when they stayed together and where they experienced physical relations …. In such cases, the petition (farewell) will result in serious prejudices with bail on the bail foreseen.” He said.
The court also said that if the separation of a relationship between consenting couples led to criminal proceedings and arrest, it would be a tendency to destroy the future of an individual.
He said that the proposal gained importance as it is in the current situation, that the relationship between the rapper and the woman is based on consent from the beginning to end and that “among people who have the ability to understand the nature and consequences of the action” is Prima Facie materials.
He also said that after a relationship has come out of existence, it was “unreasonable and hard” to label a physical sincerity as rape.
While the court helped Vedan, he made him appear in front of the investigation officer (IO) between 10: 00-17: 00 on September 9 and 10 for the investigation.
“After the interrogation, if the investigation officer proposes to arrest the petition, the investigation officer will be released with bail for a bond for a bond for 1.00.000 RS for a similar total before the investigation officer.” He said.
He also directed Vedan to appear before and when necessary, cooperate with the investigation, do not intimidate or not affect the witnesses, not to tamper with evidence and did not commit a similar crime with bail.
“The petition will not leave India without the permission of the court’s judicial authority.”
