Kerala State Film Awards 2024: ‘Manjummel Boys’ garners 9 awards; Mammootty and Shamla Hamza crowned Best Actors

Manjummel BoysThe immensely popular survival drama, directed by Chidambaram and based on a true-life story, won the grand prize at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards 2024, bagging nine awards, including the Best Film and Best Director awards on Monday, November 3, 2025.

The film also received awards in technical categories such as Best Cinematography, Art Direction, Sound Design and Sound Mixing.

Mammootty won his seventh Best Actor (Male) award, the highest for any actor in Malayalam, for his role as Kodumon Potty. bramayugamActor Shamla Hamza, a housewife, won the Best Actor (Female) award for her performance in the film. Feminichi Fathima.
