Key diversions ahead of Chhath Puja 2025 on October 27, 28; Check route changes

In preparation for the upcoming Chhath Puja celebrations, Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate Police has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic and public safety. Celebrated by thousands of devotees, the festival will be celebrated at various ghats in the region, including Kalindi Kunj on the Yamuna River, Kuleshra on the Harnandi River, as well as Chotpur, Bahlopur and Noida Stadium. Police expect large crowds to form at these places and have taken proactive measures to manage the traffic situation.
Important Dates and Traffic Plan Overview
The traffic diversions will be in effect on 27 and 28 October 2025, coinciding with the peak of Chhath Puja celebrations. DCP Traffic, Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh emphasized that the diversion will ensure smooth traffic movement, but emergency vehicles will be exempt from restrictions to ensure quick access to all areas.
The police advised the public to use alternative routes to avoid any problems during the holiday period. A helpline number (9971009001) is also provided to report traffic-related problems or emergencies.
Traffic Routing Routes for Important Areas
Specific traffic diversions that will come into force during Chhath Puja celebrations are:
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to Kalindi Border: Vehicles going to Delhi from Kalindi Border will be diverted from Charkha Roundabout to Dalit Prerna Sthal. Traffic will be diverted via DND and Chilla to avoid traffic congestion near Kalindi Kunj.
Traffic from Sector 37 to Kalindi Border: Vehicles traveling from Sector 37 towards Kalindi Border will be diverted to Dalit Prerna Sthal via Mahamaya Flyover, then proceed via DND and Chilla.
Traffic from Surajpur to Kuleshra (Phase 2): Vehicles from Surajpur towards Kuleshra will be diverted from Kachchi Sadak junction to Chauganpur Roundabout and proceed via Bisrakh Roundabout.
Traffic towards Harnandi River from Phase 2: Those traveling towards Harnandi River will be diverted via Kakrala via Sorkha and Bisrakh to avoid congestion near river ghat.
Traffic Diversions from Kisan Chowk to Parthala: Vehicles from Kisan Chowk to Parthala will be diverted to Sorkha and continue to reach Parthala via Bisrakh. Similarly, traffic from Parthala to Kisan Chowk will also travel via Sorkha and Bisrakh.
