Khloe Kardashian Slams Lamar Odom, Regrets Appearing in His Documentary “As a Favour”

Los Angeles: Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has hit back at her ex-husband, former NBA player Lamar Odom, expressing regret over his inclusion in her latest documentary, saying he participated “as a favor,” according to People. Odom revisits his near-fatal overdose in 2015 in the Netflix documentary ‘Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom,’ which also featured Kardashian; Here, Kardashian talks about their marriage and how she supported him during his recovery, including canceling their divorce at the time. Following his release, however, Odom disputed some of Kardashian’s claims in media interactions, including her description of the events during her hospitalization and the extent of her role in her recovery.
Reacting to her remarks in the latest episode of her podcast Khloe in Wonderland, Kardashian said she was sorry for how the situation turned out. “I guess what makes me angry is, we did it, it’s fine. I’m done with it. I’ll never do anything else involving Lamar again, because I’m totally fine. But now Lamar is going to the press.” [and saying he’s] He got angry at me. “Claiming or insinuating that I’m a liar, all of that, discrediting me, saying that I wasn’t the one who helped her,” Kardashian said. “I feel so stupid,” she said, and admitted that she was “angry that I was involved.” In the podcast, she said that she was asked to participate in the documentary by Odom and his team and that she “considered” for months before agreeing. “And I said, ‘I want to do it.’ Of course, this is a positive piece. If it’s negative, I really don’t want to go down this path. He’s been through enough trouble, according to People.” He explained that he initially hesitated for months before agreeing to be a part of the project.
“Everybody said, ‘No, this is great. It’s going to be really positive. He’s the one doing it. He’s the one asking,'” he recalled. Netflix later told her they “couldn’t finish the doc without her” and she agreed to participate. Kardashian also revealed that she did not receive any payment for her participation. “I willingly do the Netflix thing for Lamar. I don’t get paid a dime for it. I have no dog in this fight. It doesn’t matter to me whether this documentary gets made or not. I don’t care. And it’s not something I really want to talk about anymore.” She expressed disappointment in Odom’s recent statements, saying, “All I did was tell the story you wanted me to tell, but now it’s crazy to play it to my face and act like I didn’t do any of the things I did and insinuate that I’m a liar.” “I feel like I’m being played.” He also noted that revisiting the past is emotionally draining. The Good American founder said of reliving her marriage and Lamar’s addiction to the documentary: “Do people think I like to talk about it all day? No, it’s traumatic.”
“I would never expose someone I needed to expose. I kept all of this to myself for 11 years or whenever. Lamar asked me to make this documentary. I did this for him,” Lamar said, according to People. Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom is now streaming on Netflix.
