Prince Harry is preparing to ask his father to accompany him to a big event next year, and it could finally be a sign of a full reconciliation between father and son. The Duke of Sussex, 41, will reportedly ask King Charles to open the 2027 Invictus Games competition with him in Birmingham.
Although Harry and the 77-year-old King saw each other just months ago, it is believed a full reconciliation has not yet taken place. Harry is believed to think that if his father accepted his request, it could mark a big positive step in their relationship.
a source he told The Sun: “Prince Harry really wants Charles to be at Invictus – and to open the games with him. Harry wants it to happen both in terms of the games and the relationships. It’s his dream to have his father by his side. It’s appropriate because Invictus is returning to the UK for the first time since 2014 and because Charles is Head of the Armed Forces.”
