King Charles ‘eager to get to know’ Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet | Royal | News

King Charles allegedly wanted to “get to know” his two youngest grandchildren better. The 77-year-old man is known to share a close bond with 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and 7-year-old Prince Louis. An insider has suggested to a US news site that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to experience the same bond with their two children.
Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, are the proud parents of Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four. Unlike the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, Harry and Meghan have been living in California with their children since 2020.
The King is thought to have last spent time with Archie and Lilibet in June 2022, due to the distance and Harry’s fears for their safety in the UK.
according to National AuditorAn insider said: “He values his relationship with her [George, Charlotte and Louis].
“But it’s bittersweet because Harry has two [Archie and Lilibet] none.”
They added: “Charles can’t wait forever to bond with her [Harry’s kids]”.
It was previously said that Harry felt it was unsafe to bring his family to the UK, with the situation previously being “placed on the King”.
The source added: “This situation is weighing on Charles more than he realizes.
“These are his grandchildren, in his flesh and blood. He wants to get to know them in the time he has left.”
While Harry and Meghan remained in the US with their children this week, the King spent Christmas Day with George, Charlotte and Louis at his Sandringham estate.
