King Charles ‘looking after’ Beatrice and Eugenie after Andrew scandal | Royal | News

King Charles is “determined” to look after his two nieces, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who are going through a “terrible time” after their father Andrew-Mountbatten Windsor’s fall from grace, an expert has claimed. Both princesses were spotted attending various events for the first time this week; They saw their disgraced father stripped of his titles and honors by his own brother while being dragged further into scandal with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
He was also forced to leave his home at the Royal Lodge and will soon move into one of the houses on the Sandringham estate. But the King appears to have made a conscious effort to protect his nephews, who still retain their royal titles and are preparing for a more active role within the Firm.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward said: Sun: “For me, what this means is that the King is determined to embrace his nieces, Beatrice and Eugenie, and integrate them into the royal family in a way where they don’t feel like they’re being unnecessarily pulled in, but that they’re actually doing something about it.
“Eugenie is very knowledgeable about art. She works for a very important international gallery called Hauser & Wirth and has been for many years.
“I think Charles feels very responsible to these two girls because it was such a bad time for them. It’s really disgusting.”
She added: “They both have young children and I know they have supportive husbands, but they both have young children and I think it’s been very, very difficult.
“The very kind thing about the King is to embrace them and give them something they can actually do, so they don’t feel lucky if they go there for Christmas dinner.
“They are actually part of the Royal Family and can play their part, which I think is important for them.
“Like King Charles, we must always remember that he was a man of great faith.
“I think it’s great that he embraced these two girls and their families and said, ‘Don’t worry, we’re taking care of you.'”
This was revealed when Princess Beatrice was named Deputy Chairman of The Outward Bound Trust, six years after her father stepped down as Royal Patron.
Prince Edward has replaced him as the charity’s new Patron, and the appointments were announced during a touching event for the charity’s supporters at St James’s Palace in London last week.
The charity said it was “delighted” by the new announcement, adding that it “signals the start of a new chapter in its mission to support a more adventurous generation, helping young people say yes to challenges and discovering what they are truly capable of.”
