The owners of ARORA Group and Heathrow recently sent plans to the Ministry of Transportation for a third track in the Western London Airport.
The first wants to build a runway of 2,800 meters, and the second requires permission for a full runway of 3,500 meters.

The ARORA Group said that the new track could be fully operational by 2035 and that a new terminal will be opened in two stages in 2036 and 2040.
The plan developed with the infrastructure company Bechtel has a cost estimation below £ 25 billion, including the redevelopment of the current central area of the airport.
Heathrow said the runway and airport plan will be specially financed at a cost of £ 21 billion.
Transportation Secretary Heidi Alexander is reviewing plans for the revision of the National Policy Declaration of Airports (ANPs) to start this year.
ANPs will form the basis of decision -making for any development confirmation order application.
