King Charles urged to ‘drive Andrew to airport to testify on Epstein’ | Royal | News

Protesters called on King Charles to “take Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to the airport himself” to fly to the US to testify about late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This was a call made by US feminist organization Women’s March, which organized a vigil at the Washington Monument on Saturday to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of Jeffrey Epstein’s latest victim, Virginia Giuffre.

Virginia, who became Epstein’s chief accuser, committed suicide on April 25 last year. Activists attended the event along with members of Giuffre’s family, just two days before the King and Queen begin their four-day state visit to the United States and meet the President. Donald Trump. After Buckingham Palace announced last week that the couple would not meet any of the Epstein victims, Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director of the Women’s March, said the King should order his brother to travel to the US to testify.

He said: “We are sending a strong message. King Charles must order his brother to do the right thing. If necessary, take him to the airport himself and put him on a plane to the US, so he can sit in the same room with those investigating Epstein’s crimes and tell them what he knows.”

“The King will dine with Trump in the United States and talk about the special relations between our countries, but there is a dark cloud over this visit.”

He added: “Andrew is the King’s brother and regardless of whether there is a conflict of interest, he should be told to speak out to protect the honor of the monarchy.

“Andrew should have volunteered to be interviewed long, long ago.”

He later concluded: “He should not be given preferential treatment. He should not be subject to any immunity. He should be subject to the law of the land, whether in the US or the UK… King Charles and Queen Camilla have a duty and a moral obligation to listen.”

Virginia had previously accused Andrew, formerly known as Prince Andrew, of sexually assaulting her three times in 2001, when she was just 17 years old.

Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding his relationship with Epstein.
