Kirandeep Kaur’s family ‘devastated by her death’, sister says

“She was my world,” said the sister of the 24-year-old mother who was stabbed to death as she lay in bed with her husband and baby in west London on Sunday.
Kirandeep Kaur, originally from India, was fatally attacked at her home in Hayes.
Speaking through a translator from India’s Majha district of Punjab, his sister Gursharan told BBC London: “He is my everything, he video calls me and my mother. What will we do without him?”
A man has been charged with Kaur’s murder.
Gursharan, 21, said he came to London to find a better job to support his sister’s family.
“My sister moved to England in September 2024 to study at Buckinghamshire New University.
“He completed his education and worked in a grocery store.
“We spoke on the phone but he didn’t come back, so I didn’t see him.
“When he got to London he told me it was beautiful and he was happy.”
Gusharan said his sister was “very smart.”
“When he was studying in India, he was at the top of his class, he was very hardworking. He loved us all very much.”
Gusharan added: “Our family is very poor. He always thinks of us first. He was very supportive of me. He was my world. My heart hurts.”
