Kishan Reddy questions govt. on Fatima campus, highlights ‘selective’ HYDRAA enforcement

Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Telangana government, accusing it of going to great lengths to protect the All India Majlis-e-Itehadul Muslims (AIMIM) for its alleged interests in land and real estate transactions, ignoring the concerns of ordinary citizens.
Mr. Kishan Reddy, in a post on
He referred to the Fatima Owaisi Training Campus, which is reportedly located at Full Tank Level (FTL) and in the buffer zone of Salkam Cheruvu, and questioned what he described as the ‘unwillingness’ of the Revanth Reddy government to act on it.
“Despite repeated observations by the Telangana High Court, questions about delays and inaction, and records sought from multiple departments, including HYDRAA and the Education department, the Congress government has failed to respond with the same urgency it shows in cases involving ordinary citizens,” he said.
The Secunderabad MP also alleged that the Congress was treating the AIMIM as if it represented the entire Muslim community. “This is simply not true,” he said, claiming that HYDRAA’s actions also affected poor Muslim families whose homes and livelihoods were destroyed.
However, he claimed that both parties appeared to have their act together when issues related to assets linked to AIMIM arose. “What is being protected is the political interests of AIMIM and not the Muslim community,” Mr. Reddy said, adding that the controversy surrounding Fatima institutions has exposed what he termed the Congress government’s ‘vote bank politics’ and AIMIM’s ‘double standards’.
The Union Minister claimed that the government’s priorities are clear. “There are bulldozers for the poor; there are protections for the Congressional-House political ecosystem,” he said. Urging the state government to abandon what he called the ‘social and vote bank lens’ perspective on governance, Mr. Kishan Reddy demanded uniform implementation of laws and equal justice for all citizens.
