The pair admitted that they wanted the previously uploaded photos to be removed, even though the royal family had previously given permission to use them. The sisters spilled the beans on the behind-the-scenes drama of what they called “photogate.”

Speaking of how the couple knows Meghan Markle, Kim explained: “My mom and Meghan have been friends for a few years. They have a really sweet relationship.”

A social media user wrote: X: “Notice how they state that he is one way or another, I won’t be friends with him from now on, I won’t be friends with Kris, not with them. They don’t like him.”

Another social media user said: “It’s telling that Kim said she was her mother’s friend and not her.”

A third added: “I also noticed they said Meghan was Kris’ friend. Not theirs.”

Kim explained the reason behind the disappearance of the photos she shared: “We were told that it was very nice of you to post. And then, after the photo was posted, I think they realized it was Memorial Day and they didn’t want to be seen at a party even though it was already up, you know, and then it was taken down. And then I think they realized, ‘Oh, that was so stupid.'”

The star-studded bash was James Bond-themed at Jeff Bezos’ Beverley Hills mansion in November 2025, and attendees included singer Mariah Carey, Adele, Justin Bieber and Snoop Dogg.

The couple appeared in photos shared by the Kardashian and Jenner family on Instagram before the posts were mysteriously deleted just days after the celebrations.
