Bomb threats received for Dera Ballan, two schools ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Jalandhar

While the threatening e-mails were sent to schools, the text of the message was a direct threat to Dera Ballan.
Police officials initiated a security check in the school building and notified the bomb squad. There were no students in schools because it was a holiday.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Dera Ballan on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti on Sunday.
Police said they have confirmed the threatening emails and the matter is currently under investigation.
This comes on the heels of similar threats received by many schools in Chandigarh on Wednesday, where nothing suspicious was found.
Such incidents were previously reported in Amritsar, Jalandhar and Patiala in Punjab and Ambala in Haryana; Some schools here had experienced similar threats that were later revealed to be fraud.
