Kristi Noem’s rumored lover Corey Lewandowski to exit DHS after fostering ‘vindictive’ culture: ‘He’s gone. He’s out.’

Corey Lewandowski, former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s closest advisor, is expected to leave the Department of Homeland Security following his shock firing.
President Donald Trump announced Thursday in a surprise Truth Social post that Noem will be replaced at the top of DHS by Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin.
This came days after his messy performance in House and Senate committees; where he had to defend a $220 million campaign of taxpayer dollars designed to raise his national profile and answer questions about his alleged relationship with Lewandowski.
“There would be no Kristi without Corey,” a political insider told the Daily Mail.
Another source familiar with Trump’s thinking in the days leading up to Noem’s firing said Lewandowski would soon follow his rumored girlfriend out of the department.
There was controversy over Noem’s use of taxpayer-funded private jets to travel around the country with Lewandowski, who the Daily Mail reported was both her lover and the man who effectively ran her department. Noem and Lewandowski, who are both married, deny a romantic relationship.
Noem was also grilled by House lawmakers on Wednesday about whether she had sex with her rumored lover and trusted adviser. Noem responded by stating that she would not respond to “tabloid nonsense” and called the accusations “offensive.”
The source said Lewandowski knew Noem’s tenure at DHS was nearing its end, but he didn’t expect it to happen today.
‘He’s gone. He is outside. Corey knew it would end, but he didn’t think it would end today.’
A former senior DHS official who reported directly to Noem said conditions within the department won’t improve until Lewandowski is removed, claiming she was the one “pulling the strings behind the scenes.”
‘He is vindictive. He is not an honorable person. The former official said he’s willing to bend the rules to do whatever it takes to make himself and Noem look good.

The source added that Lewandowski showed little hesitation in pressuring senior DHS officials and that he should not be given any duties within the department.
According to a source, Lewandowski was the initial point of contact in Noem’s appointment because Noem had personally lobbied the president to give her the job.

The White House is tired of the weekly tales of scandal and infighting, as White House chief of staff Susie Wiles has long had enough of the theatrics.
Lewandowski and Noem have taken an aggressive approach to counter a growing bureaucracy at the agency that has become stagnant due to immigration.
Senior leaders faced the decision to either join Lewandowski or appease him, or face the consequences of overstepping or ignoring him.

“There was no greater friend and no fiercer enemy,” a source familiar with the dynamic within the agency told the Daily Mail.
Ultimately, the pair made more enemies than friends in the upper echelons of DHS leadership, even as ICE agents felt empowered by the unvarnished support for their efforts. (edited)
