KTR exudes confidence of BRS winning civic body polls in city

HYDERABAD

KT Rama Rao, working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), exuded confidence that it is the pink flag (BRS) that will fly high in the upcoming municipal corporation elections in Hyderabad, irrespective of the number of civic bodies into which the GHMC is divided, as the party has a strong base despite some MLAs defecting to the ruling party.

Addressing a party meeting to welcome S. Vijay Kumar Reddy and his followers from Serilingampally constituency here on Thursday, Mr. Rao said that BRS will win the municipal elections in Hyderabad whenever they are held. Despite Serilingampally MLA elected on BRS ticket joining the Congress, the line-up was intact in BRS and the party would make a clean sweep of 24 divisions in Serilingampally constituency/district.

He accused the Congress of coming to power by making false promises to the people and said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has done no good to Telangana in the last 12 years when it was in power at the Centre. He stated that law and order had deteriorated badly in Hyderabad after the Congress party came to power.

The BRS leader stated that the party will soon hold split meetings for municipal elections in the city. He assured the party cadre that the leadership would always be there for them in times of need.
