Kuwait temporarily closes airspace after Iranian attacks, flights diverted

Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority temporarily closed the country’s airspace on Thursday following Iran’s attacks and diverted flights as tensions arising from the ongoing US-Iran conflict spread to the Gulf region. The Kuwaiti army said that its air defense systems successfully intercepted many missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The General Staff stated that the explosions heard in many regions were the result of intervention operations carried out by air defense units and called on the public to rely on official sources for information.
