Nepal Earthquake: Magnitude 4.0 earthquake strikes Nepal

According to NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km.
In an article in X, NCS, “M: 4.0, on: 17/09/2025 20:10:34 Ist, Lat: 28.27 n, long: 82.72 E, depth: 10 km, location: Nepal.”
Shallow Earthquakes It can be more dangerous than those who are deeper than those who are deeper due to more energy emissions to the surface of the Earth, which causes stronger ground jolts and more damage to structures and losses than in deeper earthquakes that lose energy on the way to the surface.
Nepal tends to earthquake due to its position at a convergent border where Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates collide. This collision produces tremendous pressure and stress released as an earthquake. The Nepal is also located in a sinking area where the Indian plate shifts under the Eurasian plate and increases stress and difficulty. Himalaya nation has a long earthquake history, including a destructive earthquake in 2015.
