Six intermediate students injured as bus overturns on NH44 in Mahbubnagar

Six students suffered minor injuries when a private school bus overturned near Balanagar on National Highway 44 on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

The bus, carrying around 45 intermediate students of Sri Manikanta Junior College in Mahbubnagar, was heading towards Jalavihar in Hyderabad. According to Jadcherla Rural police officials, two cars stopped suddenly in front of the bus, causing the driver to apply emergency brakes. Then the bus lost control and overturned.

Neighborhood residents and police rushed to the scene to save the hospitalized students. It was stated that 6 students were slightly injured in the accident and were treated, while the other students were in good health. Police said the bus belonged to New Rishi School in Mahbubnagar.

A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
