Kylie Minogue leads A-listers at Prince William’s Earthshot Prize 202 | Royal | News

Pop sensation Kylie Minogue will lead the celebrity line-up at Prince William’s Earthshot Award ceremony in Brazil next month. The Prince of Wales will travel to the South American country for the awards ceremony in Rio in November and will continue to join world leaders at the COP30 global climate change summit in Belem in the Amazon.

Ms Minogue is among a host of stars attending the awards; Among them are former Minister of Culture Gilberto Gil, who will perform with Brazilian music icon and up-and-coming countrywoman Anitta, and Seu Jorge, who will also appear. He said: “Brazil, I’m coming back! It’s a privilege and an honor to be part of the Earthshot Prize in Rio, to be on stage with the people and ideas that can save our planet.”

When the Earthshot 2025 finalists were announced a few weeks ago, William said the “urgent optimism” at the heart of the environmental project was “unstoppable”.

He established the prize to recognize and amplify ideas that would help “repair” the planet; The five winning finalists were each awarded £1 million to develop their ideas further.

Other artists include Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and musician Shawn Mendes, who last performed in Brazil in March 2025.

Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey voiced the award trailer titled Meet the World’s Real Action Heroes, which featured the 15 finalists and showcased their solutions.

The awards ceremony on November 5 will be hosted by Brazilian broadcaster Luciano Huck, and the award presenters will include sports stars Marcos Evangelista de Morais, known as former Brazilian defender Cafu; Four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel; and Txai Surui, one of the leading voices of Brazil’s indigenous communities and environment.

Singer-songwriter Seu Jorge said: “The real heroes of our day are the people who are out there doing the work, restoring forests, cleaning rivers and caring for the places we call home.

“Their work reminds us that healing the Earth begins with small acts of courage, and I am proud to be a part of the Earthshot Prize, which celebrates this spirit and the people who refuse to give up on our planet.”
