Three Women Laborers Killed by Lightning Strike

VIZANAGARAM: A deep sense of pain gripped the Geddavalasa village of Rajam Mandala following the tragic lightning strike that killed three women agricultural workers on Tuesday.
The women were working in agricultural fields when a sudden storm ravaged the area. According to local reports, within minutes a powerful bolt of lightning struck the exact spot where they were standing, killing them instantly.
The victims were identified as Sattemma, Ramulamma (initially reported as Ramu) and Narasamma.
Local authorities arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and took the bodies to another place to carry out the necessary procedures. The tragedy shook the entire village and highlighted once again the risks faced by agricultural workers during the monsoon season, when sudden weather changes can turn deadly without warning.
