Lab Technician Killed in Mishap in RC Puram

Hyderabad:A 27-year-old laboratory technician died in a road accident near SBI at ICRISAT in Ramachandrapuram on Tuesday morning.
According to RC Puram police, the deceased, identified as Nikita, was on his way to his workplace at the laboratory on his two-wheeler when the accident took place around 8.20 am. Police said he suffered serious head and facial injuries and died at the scene.
The complaint was filed by his brother V. Vahileshwara (36), a resident of Nandigama village in Patancheru in Sangareddy district. Based on the complaint, Ramachandrapuram police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Nikita’s vehicle allegedly skidded and went under the tire of the Sri Chaitanya School bus. It is believed that the rear tire of the bus hit him in the head. Allegedly, the bus did not stop after the collision and fled the scene.
Investigating officer Ramakrishna said, “Nikita suffered severe injuries to his head and face due to the blow and died before any medical aid could be provided.” He added that efforts are ongoing to trace the bus and identify the driver involved in the accident.
The body was taken to Patancheru Government Hospital for autopsy. Police said they reviewed footage from security cameras in the area and collected other evidence. Further investigation is ongoing.
