Mt. Bachelor blanketed with 6 inches of snow overnight
Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort covered in several inches of snow The event, which will take place overnight on Sunday, is expected to continue until Monday.
The Central Oregon snow resort saw 6 inches of snow overnight and is expected to see an additional 2 to 4 inches as it continues.
Temperatures are expected to remain above 20 degrees
The new snowfall marks a positive change in weather conditions, as the snow season begins later in most mountain regions in the Pacific Northwest.

Mt. Bachelor ski resort usually opens in late November, but had to postpone its opening due to later snowfall.
“Conditions have improved greatly today, but the situation is still fluid there,” said Presley Quon, director of communications and public relations. “We could see more than 30cm by Thursday, which would be great for snowpack.”
The resort urges skiers and cyclists to be careful.
Skiers and riders are asked to stay near open and well-groomed terrain.
